Our Wild School programme has been thoughtfully and thoroughly planned & risk assessed and we have developed sound policies that we are commited to following through the operation of our Wild School programmes.

Health, Safety & Wellness Policy

WWS is committed to promoting wellness and wonder in children. At all times the health and safety of children, workers, volunteers, whānau and visitors will remain of paramount importance.

Philosophy & Programme

Our programme is child centred, learner lead and uses a community of learners approach. Nature is our classroom, which is ever changing, unpredictable and exciting, setting a realistic scene for life-long learning.

Positive Guidance Policy

Our underpinning philosophy outlined in this document enables decisions to be well supported and consistent, so that participants can continually develop in wonder and wellness.

Consent to Participate

All children require consent from their guardians to participate in our programme. This is part of our enrolment process. Please read carefully and ask any questions that may arise.

Child Protection Policy

Wild School aims to establish and maintain a safe environment for children in line with the requirements of the Children's Act 2014

Code of Compliance

This document is based on the Our Code, Our Standards of the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand and is in place to ensure safety for children, staff, and families, and to promote constant growth through all WS staff and programmes.

Complaints Procedure

This procedure is in place to ensure that the WS community have a forum to share their concerns.
